Dear Friend,
Economic uncertainties continue to leave a great many of us fearful and worried.
And so for them-and you-I want to share a powerful little booklet entitled:
I Am the American Flag.
When I wrote it, God inspired me to imagine just exactly what our flag would say if she could speak...
...the words of wisdom our flag would share with us...how she would lift our spirits in a time of crisis.
As the words poured out of my heart, for a while I actually felt like I was the American Flag! With the wind unfurling my stars and stripes! So much they say!
Two hundred thirty-three years of experience! Such a mighty and God-fearing nation! Defeats and triumphs!...
...and the words came out in a rush of inspiration. One of the most meaningful compositions that I have ever written.
That all happened back in 1973, with the painful memory of the Vietnam War.
But today...does the American Flag still speak to us?
Yes! Yes! Yes!
I would love to share this little book with you.
It's small. Just 27 pages long. It reads quickly. And most folks read it more than once.
..and there are some full-color and very inspiring pictures used throughout this exciting little book.
By the way, it received the Freedoms Foundation Award in Valley Forge.
This booklet is also the third of six featured books in our exciting Hour of Power Book Club. By joining the Book Club, you will automatically receive all six books being offered on the Hour of Power in 2009 and also participate in online forums and discussions with inspiring authors and other Book Club members.
My supply of these booklets is truly limited because we must carefully budget our resources. But I've reserved a copy for each one of my friends-especially YOU...
...and when you do, if you wish to include a gift to the Hour of Power, I will be MOST grateful.
Our ministry did not anticipate that we would all be facing such a dire economic situation in the summer of 2009...
But in faith, we continue to find ways to keep our televised ministry alive as we are helping all we can...wherever we can...whomever needs us.
Your gifts make it possible. So I thank you for your continued support.
Your friend,

Robert H. Schuller
